My Transition from Male to Female (MTF)
A transparent, phase-by-phase look at my personal evolution, timelines, and lived experiences.
💊 Hormone Therapy
To achieve physical feminization, I began Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) using two primary medications: Spironolactone (Spiro), an anti-androgen that reduces testosterone levels, and Estradiol, the primary estrogen promoting female secondary sex characteristics and inner emotional well-being.
🧬 Physical Changes
With an appropriate regimen, the body gradually shifts. Explore my tracking of softer skin, reduced body hair growth, muscle loss, fat redistribution, and breast development. While initial shifts start within months, long-term physical development unfolds over 2 to 5 years.
🧠 Mental & Emotional Changes
Estrogen significantly influences mental well-being, commonly described as lifting an invisible mental fog. It allowed my emotions to feel vastly more accessible, nuanced, and authentic, resulting in heightened emotional awareness and a deep sense of alignment.
🩺 Gender-Affirming Surgery
A profound milestone involving surgical steps like vaginoplasty. This section details my preparation, recovery protocols, and the crucial complexities of surgical hormone management—including the process of temporarily stopping hormone therapy to reduce medical risks.
